MOVING FORWARD TOGETHER WITH EU EXPERTISE TAIEX MULTICOUNTY REGIONAL SEMINAR was organized for Audit Authorities in co-operation with the Serbian Audit Authority, on 30 Sept- 1 Oct.
General Auditor Ksenija Barjaktarovic with colleagues Dubravka Mihailovic, Stana Gacevic, Marija Perovic and Nikola Volkov were the participants on the TAIEX seminar.
In this context, the aim of the TAIEX seminar was to bring together experts from AAs of Member States with representatives from AAs of the candidate countries to facilitate interaction and exchange best practices. A novelty under the recently-launched IPA III, compared to IPA II, is that the working modalities and reporting deadlines for the AAs of candidate countries are streamlined with those of Member States under the Cohesion Funds.
The topics which were discussed during the seminar were the following: Audit planning, Audit of key performance indicators, Lessons learned from the review of Annual Audit Activity Report 2023, Annual acceptance of IPARD accounts for 2023, Audit methodology, Irregularities and financial corrections, Project assessment, Challenges when becoming member state.
